Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi is taking new steps to improve public acces💟s to social policy credit programmes by establishing official transaction points for the Vietnam Bank for♑ Social Policies (VBSP) at the headquarters of each newly-established commune and ward People’s Committee across the city.

Under Document No. 4139/UBND-KT, recently issued by the municipal People’s Committee, local authorities are tasked with coordinating with VBSP to ensure that each commune and ward has at least one main transaction point, operating on a fixed day each month. Additional locations may be set up in residential areas, such as former commune offices or village cultural houses, to make services more accessible to residents.Local police and security forces are instructed to safeguard public assets and cash during transaction days.
Communes and wards are also required to install clear signage and information boards at transaction points to help residents identify services and stay informed, while encouraging public oversight.
Additionally, local leaders in charge of social policy credit must verify loan applications and provide timely support to borrowers. They are also expected to attend monthly review meetings at the transaction points to promptly address relevant issues./.
