Vinh Long (VNA) – Representatives of the People’s Committee of the Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long held a working session with 4B Plus Pty Ltd on August 13 to discuss effective support measures for increasing export of local products to the Australian market.

Tran Quoc Tuan, Director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, said Australia is a highly promising market for agricultural products from the Mekong Delta and Vinh Long in particular.

Vinh Long hopes 4B Plus Pty Ltd will serve as a bridge to facilitate access for its key agricultural products to the Australian market in the coming time, he said.

A representative from 4B Plus Pty Ltd said the company focuses on helping Vietnamese producers enter and thrive in Australia’s diverse fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) market. The firm is currently seeking high-quality fresh and frozen fruit, agricultural and aquatic products, and Vietnamese spices for distribution through FMCG retail channels, ranging from traditional supermarkets to independent grocery stores and convenience shops.

At the conference, Vinh Long-based businesses discussed and opened opportunities for cooperation with 4B Plus Pty Ltd in areas such as agricultural produce, seafood, and Vietnamese spice products.

In 2024, Vinh Long’s exports to Australia exceeded 44 million USD, up more than 26% year-on-year. The figure topped 35 million USD in the first half of 2025, skyrocketing by nearly 80% compared to the same period last year. Aquatic exports accounted for 50% of the total, followed by leather and footwear at 24%, agricultural products and fruit at around 10%, textiles at 7%, and processed coconut products at 5%.

Vinh Long currently has about 27 enterprises regularly exporting to Australia, along with 17 potential exporters capable of further tapping the market with farm produﷺce./.
