PM backs CT Group’s bold push into advanced technology development

Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has expressed his strong support for CT Group’s advanced technology development initiatives, praising the conglomerate’s focused investment in cutting-edge innovations that align with Vietnam’s development priorities.

Presiding over a working session on August 13 with leaders of ministries, sectors, and CT Group to look into science – technology development, innovation, and digital transformation, especially the firm's development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), AI, and semiconductor technology, PM Chinh commended CT Group for its efforts, dedication, and plans to invest in state-of-the-art technologies.

The Government leader ordered competent sides to review 𒉰regulations and remove institutional bottlenecks to facilitate the group’s access to land, infrastructure, and the 500 trillion VND (19 billion USD) concessional loan package for science-technology, innovation, digital transformation, and strategic infrastructure development. Further assistanc💧e should include promoting the enterprise’s tech products globally and developing mechanisms for domestic procurement of locally-made technologies.

He also urged CT Group to join hands with ministries, sectors, and localities to remain at the forefront of implementing the Politburo's strategic resolutions, helping to propel the nation into a new development era.

Vietnam’s durian exports rebound strongly

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in May, June, and July, the country exported 7,745 batches of fresh durians totaling over 207,000 tonnes, more than 10 times higher than in the first four months of the year, as well as 560 batches of frozen durians weighing nearly 16,000 tonnes, up almost 64.3%.
