Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietjet Air on January 20inaugurated its route linking Ho Chi Minh City in the south and Van Don islanddistrict in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh, the low-cost carrierannounced the same day.
Return flights are conducted every Monday, Wednesday, Fridayand Sunday. Aircraft departs from Ho Chi Minh City at 7:00 and arrives at VanDon at 9:15 am, while the return departs at 9:50 and arrives at 12:05.
The route is expected to meet the increasing demand fortourism and trade, helping boost the local economic development andintegration.
Van Don island, located near the Bai Tu Long bay and theworld-famous Ha Long bay, is blessed with many scenic beauties and has over therecent past become a magnet to both local and foreign tourists.
