Toyota nears one-millionth vehicle sold in Vietnam
Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) reached a cumulative sales figure of 999,857 vehicles by the end of June. This milestone puts Toyota on track to surpass one million vehicles sold this July, coinciding with the brand’s 30th anniversary in the country.

Hanoi (VNA) – Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) on July 2 announced that it had delivered over 29,000 vehicles to Vietnamese customers in the first half of 2025, a 31% increase compared to the same period last year.
Significantly, the company reached a cumulative sales figure of 999,857 vehicles by the end of June. This milestone puts Toyota on track to surpass one million vehicles sold this July, coinciding with the brand’s 30th anniversary in the country.
According to TMV, total sales in June reached 6,536 units, including both Toyota and Lexus vehicles. Of these, 6,213 were Toyota-branded units, comprising 2,163 locally assembled and 4,050 fully imported vehicles.
Among Toyota’s offerings in Vietnam, hybrid models continue to see impressive growth, with 771 units sold in June, nearly doubling that of last year. This underscores a clear shift in local consumer preferences towards eco-friendly, fuel-efficient vehicles that maintain strong performance.
In the luxury segment, Lexus further solidified its presence, with 323 vehicles sold in June, doubling May’s sales. Since its launch in Vietnam, Lexus haღs delivered a total of 14,616 units to customers./.
Toyota Motor Vietnam's factory in the northern province of Vinh Phuc was established in 1995 and officially began operations one year later. From an initial production rate of just two vehicles per day, the plant's capacity has now grown to over 108 vehicles per day, or approximately 27,000 per year.
Toyota Vietnam sold 3,902 passenger cars, including the luxury brand of Lexus, in May, topping the market segment, the joint venture reported on June 13.
