Hanoi (VNA) - Moroccan media have widely and positively reported on the official visit of Vietnam’s National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man to Morocco from July 24–27, des꧂cribing it as a pivotal development in deepening the longstanding friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations.

Covering the July 25 meeting between Chairman Man and Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, local outlets underscored the leaders’ shared resolve to enhance bilateral ties. PM Akhannouch reaffirmed Morocco’s appreciation for its traditional friendship with Vietnam and reiterated support for initiatives aimed at strengthening economic, trade and investment links.
Chairman Man affirmed that the visit sought to reinforce parliamentary diplomacy, expand business engagement, and further elevate bilateral relations in line with the strong political foundation and untapped cooperation potential. Both sides recognised Morocco’s role as a strategic gateway for Vietnamese enterprises to reach African markets, while Vietnam could serve as Morocco’s bridge to the dynamic ASEAN region, home to over 600 million people. Moroccan coverage also noted Chairman Man’s participation in a policy dialogue and his meeting with the Vietnamese community in Morocco, viewing these engagements as meaningful steps towards fostering the traditional ties established between the two countries in 1961./.
