Bangkok (NNT/VNA) – The Mekong Tourism Forum 2018 (MTF 2018) isto be held in Thailand’s Nakhon Panom province later this month.
The forum aims to promote travel to three Thai provinces alongthe Mekong River, namely Nakhon Panom, Mukdaharn and Sakon Nakhon.
MTF 2018 will take place on June 25-29 under thetitle “Transforming Travel, Transforming Lives”. It will be attended byrepresentatives of the six countries of Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar,Thailand and Vietnam.
The forum is held annually to discuss tourism promotion and to unify efforts todrive tourism along the Mekong River delta of Thailand. Participants this yearwill also be given the opportunity to experience tourism in Nakhon Panom,including visiting its eight ethnic tribes.
Nakhon Panom, Mukdaharn and Sakon Nakhon are jointly workingon a documentary exploring their religious tourism offerings to be debuted atthe forum.-NNT/VNA
