Reference exchange rate goes up on August 7

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange at 25,239 VND/USD on August 7, up 7 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,501 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,977 VND/USD.

At 8:15 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks saw decreases.

Both Vietc💟ombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 26,050 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,410 VND/USD, ♌down 10 VND from the August 6 morning session./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
