The activity is part of a strategic cooperation agreementbetween the provincial People’s Committee and the Vietnam Posts andTelecommunications Group (VNPT) for the 2015-2020 period.
The portal and application will update with information ontourist destinations, shopping outlets, local events, accommodation,restaurants, and travel agencies and services.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the provincialPeople’s Committee Duong Xuan Huyen asked the provincial Department of Culture,Sports, and Tourism; the Department of Information and Telecommunications; andVNPT Lang Son to work closely together to upgrade IT infrastructure as well asimprove technological application to better serve investors, businesses, and domesticand foreign tourists.
On the occasion, the VNPT presented 200 million VND (8,600USD) to a community-based tourism development programme in Mong An commune,Binh Gia district.–VNA
