Bangkok (VNA) – Tourist attractions of three central provincesof Vietnam – Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh – were introduced in Thailand’snortheastern province of Udon Thani in a promotion programme on May 23.
The activity is part of tourism cooperation among the three localities,targeting the northeastern region of Thailand.
The event drew Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen Huynh Ngoc Son,representatives of the Tourism Departments of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh,Udon Thani tourism management agencies and about 70 Thai and Vietnamese travelfirms.
Outstanding natural landscape and heritage of the three provinces suchas the UNESCO-recognised natural heritage of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park ofQuang Binh and intangible cultural heritage of Vi Giam folk singing in Nghe Anand Ha Tinh were highlighted.
Tourists of Thailand and Vietnam can reach each other’s country by road,air or cruise ships, making it tourism cooperation between the two countries easier.

Meanwhile, the northeastern region of Thailand has welcomed thousands ofVietnamese visitors every year, especially in President Ho Chi Minh’s memorialsites and in Nakhon Phanom and Udon Thani.
At the event, Vietnamese and Thai travel firms also introduced to eachother their tourism products and discussed measures to develop tours andtourism routes.-VNA
