Hanoi (VNA) –Vietnam’s U20 football team on February 28 spent one hour getting used to Istiglolstadium in Uzbekistan’s Fegana City where they will play their first match onthe 2023 AF♌C U20 Asian Cup finals on March 1 afternoon.
At the end of thetraining session, coach Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his satisfaction at theperformance of the team, as well as the lads' expertise and attitude. All the team members are healthy with no injuries and ready for the first match against Australia with thehighest spirit. Vietnamare in Group B together with Iran, Australia, and Qatar in the tournament'sfinals. Sixteensquads will compete in the tournament, namely Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia,Qatar, Japan, Jordan, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Oman, Tajikistan, Iran,Australia, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, China, Iraq, and Syria. Vietnamare one of the five second-placed teams with the best results in the qualifyinground. Among Vietnam's rivals in Group B, Qatar won the tournament in 2014, Iran triumphedfor four times (in 1973, 1974, 1975 and 1976), while Australia were therunners-up in 2010./.
Vietnam, despite losing 2-3 against host Indonesia in the last match of Group F on September 18, won a slot in the 2023 AFC U20 Asian Cup finals as one of the best second-placed teams.
Vietnam will be in Group B together with Iran, Australia, and Qatar at the 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U20 Asian Cup finals, slated for next March in Uzbekistan.
With the host Cambodia freshly adjusting the age of registration for men's football players at the upcoming 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), most of Vietnam’s familiar stars are now not eligible to compete in the tournment.

It is the first time that the country is to hold a G1-level tournament which is expected to lure more than 100 athletes of 15 countries and regions at Go Vap Gymnasium.
Nguyen Trong Nha Uyen has made history for Vietnam’s dancesport by clinching a bronze medal in the solo Latin category at the WDSF World Championship 2025 in Germany.

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
