The Vietnamese women’s team, the top-seeded in the group, is now placed 33rd in the latest FIFA rankings.Meanwhile, Tajikistan ranks 135th, Maldives 144th andAfghanistan 152nd. Twenty-eight teams aredivided into eight groups with four seed groups. Champions Japan, secondrunners-up Australia and third runners-up China together with the hosts India areeligible for the final round. Eight teams will join the tournament, divided into two groups. Group A features Vietnam, the Philippines, Sichuan Club (China), and Australia, while Group B consists of Vietnam U21, Korabelka Club (Russia), Taiwan (China), and U21 Thailand.
