Two more to be prosecuted in PVC embezzlement case
The Investigation Police Agency will prosecute two additional suspects related to the embezzlement case against former PetroVietnam Construction (PVC) chairman, Trinh Xuan Thanh.

Hanoi (VNA) - TheInvestigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security will prosecutetwo additional suspects related to the embezzlement case againstformer PetroVietnam Construction (PVC) chairman, Trinh Xuan Thanh.
In a report sent to the Government e-portal on March 31, theagency reported that it would detain and prosecute the former chairman of the managementboard, cum general director of PVC’s Kinh Bac Investment and InstallationCompany, Do Van Hong, and former deputy general director of PetroVietnamConstruction Joint-Stock Corporation, Nguyen Manh Tien.
The report noted that the agency is expanding its criminal investigationagainst Thanh and Vu Duc Thuan, former PVC general director, on suspicion ofembezzlement and for alleged violations of State regulations on economic managementthat caused about 3.3 trillion VND (142 million USD) in losses for PVC.
Hong and Tien are charged with being accomplices in theintentional violation of State regulations on economic management that resultedin serious consequences.

With 100 percent of votes, all members of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee have agreed to expel Trinh Xuan Thanh, a member of the Hau Giang provincial Party Committee, from the Party.
