A tourism festival is taking place in Ho Chi Minh City,drawing the participation of over 80 travel agencies and airlines frominside and outside the country.

The 10th Ho ChiMinh City Tourism Festival takes place at the September 23 Park. Itoffers an opportunity for localities and tourism businesses to accesscustomers’ demands and tastes.

The annual event isalso aimed at promoting the tourism-cultural products of differentregions through product displays and art performances.

A series of activities, including performances of Don Ca Tai Tu(Southern music), which was officially recognised as an IntangibleCultural Heritage of Humankind by UNESCO, and a hotspot photographyexhibition have been organised at the festival.

Inthe spotlight is a programme entitled “tourism supermarket”, aiming tointroduce tourism packages and stimulus programmes for visitors.

Although organised in Ho Chi Minh City, many tourism packages onsale at the festival are from the northern mountainous region,especially those in remote areas.

During thefestival, more than 100 travel agencies, hotels, resorts and touristsites have been honoured for their contribution to the tourismdevelopment in the city and the whole country at large.-VNA
