Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) – ThuaThien-♑Hue province plansto become one of the cꦰentral region’s garment hubs in the next five years.
To this end, the provincewill invest 6.6 trillion VND (297 million USD) in developing the domestic market and expanding exports while promoting productdesign and trademark building and developing a fashion industry in combination with environmental protection.
According to Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Cao, the locality has zoned off 400hain PhongDien Industrial Park for garment support industry development with a view to boost the sector in a sustainable manner.
In order to form a garment centre, in addition to developing support industries, the province needs to call on major groups from the US, the Republic of Korea and Canada to provide high-quality materials, said garment businesses.
