Tay Ninh (VNA) – A ceremony to hand over the remains of 💮156 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who laid down their lives in Cambodia was held at the Binh Hiep International Border Gate in Binh Hiep commune, the southern province of Tay Ninh, on July 18.
The remains of the 156 martyrs were repatriated during the 24th mission of the team K73 under the provincial Military Command. During its 24 missions, the team found and collected 2,933 martyrs' remains. Of that, 168 sets of remains have been identified.

Speaking at the event, Pham Tan Hoa, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, affirmed Tay Ninh authorities and people's determination in searching and repatriating the remains of fallen soldiers.
He thanked the Government, army and people of Cambodia, especially the authorities of Svay Rieng, Phnom Penh, Battambang and Pailin provinces, for their support for the search operation.
The remains were reburied at the Vinh Hung – Tan Hung Martyr Cemetery in the province's Vinh Hung Commune./.
From February 24 to June 26, two teams of province - K70 and K71 - searched and collected the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and expert in the five Cambodian provinces of Tboung Khmum, Kampong Cham, Banteay Meanchey, Otdar Meanchey, and Seam Reap.
Since 2000, Dak Lak has repatriated and reburied a total of 769 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Cambodia during various periods of war.
The remains were recovered during the 2024–2025 dry season by a team from the provincial Military Command, in close coordination with Lao authorities. The identities of the fallen soldiers have not yet been determined.
According to the organisers, the contest is bilingual (Vietnamese and Japanese), held online, and consists of 34 questions. The questions focus on everyday legal topics such as traffic laws, types of scams, how to contact police, and real-life situations often encountered by foreigners, particularly Vietnamese, living in Japan.
Since the beginning of this year, over 514 outbreaks have been reported in 28 out of 34 provinces and cities, with more than 30,000 pigs infected, killed or culled. Currently, 248 outbreaks remain active in 20 localities, raising concerns of further spread, particularly in provinces with large pig herds.
