Seven dead after musical gala, testing positive for drug
Seven persons died after participating in the Autumn Music Gala at the West Lake Water Park in Hanoi’s Tay Ho district on September 16 night, the city police confirmed on September 17, adding that all of them tested positive for drugs.

Hanoi (VNA) – Sevenpersons died after participating in the Autumn Music Gala at the West LakeWater Park in Hanoi’s Tay Ho district on September 16 night, the city police confirmedon September 17, adding that all of them tested positive for drugs.
At around 23:10 on September 16,Tay Ho district police was informed by the Hanoi Heart Hospital that two menhad been brought to the hospital in the state of heart stopping beating.Despite emergency treatment, the two later died at 23:45 that night.
The district police coordinatedwith the municipal police and relevant agency to launch an investigation intothe case, which showed that before being taken to hospital, the two menattended the 2018 Autumn Music Gala at the water park, which began at 19:00 onSeptember 16. According to the event’s permit, the event expected to attract acrowd of 5,000.
The investigation also revealedthat Hospital E received eight emergency patients, among whom one died on theway to hospital, four died at the hospital and the remaining three are in acoma. Bach Mai Hospital also received two patients, who are currently also in acoma.
As of late morning of September17, the authorities affirmed that seven persons had died and five were in acoma in association with the case. All of them tested positive to drugs.
An examination of the site wherethe music gala took place found materials suspected to be drugs.
