Russia to discuss Sputnik-V production cooperation with Vietnam
Russia is going to discuss the cooperation in manufacturing the COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik-V in Vietnam, according to Press Secretary for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

Moscow (VNA) – Russia is going to discuss thecooperation in manufacturing the COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik-V in Vietnam, accordingto Press Secretary for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
Peskov told the media on June 3 that Russia will contact the Vietnamese side to discuss the vaccine production cooperation, noting thisissue was mentioned in a letter that Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phuc recentlysent to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
On the sidelines of the St. Petersburg InternationalEconomic Forum, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev saidhe had reported the list of countries wishing to produce the Russian vaccine toPresident Putin, and that 20 manufacturers of 14 countries, including Vietnam,have expressed their willingness to cooperate in this regard.
Many important agreements on the Sputnik-V production havebeen reached, and more and more countries, mostly recently Vietnam, have voicedtheir readiness to manufacture the vaccine.
Addressing the economic forum on June 4, Russian PresidentPutin noted Sputnik-V is highly effective in preventing COVID-19, and it isreceiving attention from business people inEurope who are ready to come to Russia to get vaccinated./.
All possible measures must be taken and all obstacles must be addressed to soon secure COVID-19 vaccines, said Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, who is also Head of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, at a meeting on May 31.
