The Central Council for Emulation and Rewards held a conference in Hanoi on June 11 to honour role models nationwide, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for patriotic emulation.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Central Council for Emulation and Rewards held a conferencein Hanoi on June 11 to honour role models nationwide, on the occasionof the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal forpatriotic emulation.
Theevent attracted the participation of 700 delegates representing exemplarycollectives and individuals in various regions and sectors.
Speakingat the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, who is also Chairman of thecouncil, said on June 11, 1948, President Ho Chi Minh issued the appeal forpatriotic emulation, officially launching a nationwide movement to foster aspirit of patriotism within the entire Party, people and army.
Since then, it has truly become a widespread movement,extending from the lowlands to the islands and mountain and border areas. Itencompasses both urban and rural areas with the active participation of peoplefrom walks of life, and has achieved significant results.
The role models, regardless of age, position orprofession, shine with a spirit of patriotism, dynamism, creativity, daring tothink and act, and taking responsibility for the common good. They exemplifydetermination, resilience, aspirations for progress and dedication to thecommunity and society, he said.
On the occasion, he asked departments and agencies toeffectively follow the Party and State’s policies and laws on emulation andreward, step up start-up and innovation movements, develop green, digital andcircular economies.
Emulation movements must be in tandem with the Partybuilding and rectification, the campaign on studying and following President HoChi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle; prevention and control of corruption,wastefulness, and 🅘negative phenomena; judicial and administrative reform. At thesame time, national cultural identity must be preserved and upheld whileexternal affairs and global integration must be stepped up, the PM notedꦜ.

Also at the event, the honourees told their own stories, highlightingtheir spirit of determination, self-sacrifice, wholeheartedness, and dedicationto the country and people. They expressed their commitment to continuing to be role models in life, work, study, and contributing to the national development.
The PM also presented certificates of merit to 75 role ওmodels in various areas at the event./.
Role models in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle gathered at an exchange programme in Hanoi on December 5 night, with the attendance of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

Today, the press for foreign service has evolved into a distinct, irreplaceable force, bridging Vietnam with the world and portraying a nation that is stable, peace-loving, and fully integrated into the international community.
At a review conference held on June 21, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh praised the province’s scientific, coordinated, and flexible approach. He noted that the early completion reflects the strong commitment of local authorities, the business community, philanthropists, and residents in improving housing conditions for disadvantaged groups.
The VNA delegation, led by General Director Vu Viet Trang, actively participated in the event, engaging in both professional and diplomatic activities.
