Hanoi (VNA) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong ꦍon October 30 signed into issuance the Resolution on Party building adopted a🌜t the fourth plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee.
Resolution No. 04-NQ/TW aims to enhance Party building and rectification, and prevent and curb ideological, ethical and lifestyle degradation as well as the manifestation of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” inside the Party.
The document stresses the resolve to overcome weaknesses in personnel work and build a contingent of officials and Party members, especially those holding managerial positions at all levels, who have firm political will, morality, responsibility, capacity and sound motivations. The officials must be the pioneers and examples who put national and collective interests over their own interests. They must really be the officials of the people and for the people.
The resolution also sets the goal of consolidating public trust in the Party.
The fourth meeting took place in Hanoi from October 9-14, with a focus on Party building and rectification, preventing and taming ideological, ethical and lifestyle degradation as well as manifestation of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” inside the Party.
The meeting also examined the country’s socio-economic situation in 2016 and socio-economic development plan in 2017.
The Party Central Committee mulled over a number of major policies and guidelines aiming to continue renewing the growth model, improving the quality of growth, productivity and competitiveness of the economy, while effectively implementing the international economic integration, maintaining political-social stability in the context of Vietnam joining new-generation free trade agreements.-VNA

NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man stressed the need to accelerate the application of artificial intelligence and smart teaching equipment, innovate teaching and assessment methods, and further improve the quality of formal education.
He also pledged that the NA will promote its ongoing supervision, making sure that every promise must lead to results, and every commitment must bring about real changes.
