Quang Binh: Public assessment on administration services released

Quang Binh (VNA) – ThePeople’s Council of the north-central province of Quang Binh held a conferenceon April 26 to announce the results of a project that enables citizens to scorethe performance of public administration services via their mobile phone.
In collaboration with Oxfam Vietnam,the province launched the project through the use of an innovative mobile phonescorecard tool (M-Score) to collect local people’s assessment on theperformance of public administration services in seven localities since 2016.
The project has to date been appliedin the provincial public administration centre, and general hospitals innorthern Quang Binh area, Le Thuy district and Dong Hoi city.
In 2018, as many as 12 rounds ofsurvey were carried out, reaching nearly 6,000 people. The citizens’satisfaction stood at 8.78 on a scale from 0 of 10.
The rate of people experiencing delayat the single-window system in Quang Binh hit 14.3 percent. Meanwhile, around80 percent of more than 3,700 respondents said they were content with servicesprovided at the three hospitals, in a survey conducted from September 2018 tothe end of March.
Standing Vice Chairwoman of theprovincial People’s Council Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong said that the implementationof the project has helped to accelerate reform of administrative procedures.
To further improve the project’squality and efficiency, the management board needs to enhance coordinationwhile localities and hospitals are advised to promptly review inadequacy andlimits of the administration and medical services.
In addition, communication workshould be stepped up to raise public awareness of the project and encouragepeople to score the performance of public administration and medical servicesin the province, she added. -VNA
