Ha Tinh (VNA) – President Nguyen Xuan Phuc hailed new economic models in the north central province of Ha Tinh and urged the province to promote development in line with the three-horseeconomic model namely production, consumption and export.
Speaking at a working session with provincial leaders onDecember 13, Phuc said that Ha Tinh must work together with neighbouring Nghe An and ThanhHoa provinces to form a new growth pole of the country.
The President said Ha Tinh should take the lead in digital transformation and increasethe application of high technology in production to improve labour productivity, adding that attention should be paid to the development of internal resources and domesticenterprises.
Regarding the immediate task, he required that theprovince focus on the dual goals of resuming production while ensuring COVID-19prevention and control in place, including the administration of COVID-19 vaccine for children.
The president also told the province to ensure national defence and security and strengthen externalrelations with border localities of Laos.
The same day, President Phuc offeredincense at the tomb of famous poet Nguyen Du and a memorial historic site dedicated him in Nghi Xuan. Nguyen Du is the author of many immortal works written in both Chinese and Nomcharacters, one of which is The Tale of Kieu.

Earlier, the president visited a community house in Phan ChuTrinh village, Cam Xuyen district’s Cam Due commune. On this occasion, he donated1,000 books to the community house to help locals improve theirknowledge.
