Party Central Committee releases announcement of sixth session
The 13th Party Central Committee held the sixth session in Hanoi from October 3 to 9 to discuss the Politburo’s proposals, plans, and reports related to some major issues, according to its announcement.

Hanoi (VNA) – The 13th Party Central Committee held the sixth session in Hanoi from October 3 to 9 todiscuss the Politburo’s proposals, plans, and reports related to some majorissues, according to its announcement.
The issues high on the agenda consistedof the socio-economic and state budget situation in 2022, the draftsocio-economic development plan and state budget estimates for 2023, and thefinance - state budget plan for 2023 - 2025; orientations for the nationaloverall planning for 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050; the continuedpromotion of national industrialisation and modernisation by 2030, with avision to 2045; the continued building and perfection of the law-governedsocialist state of Vietnam in the new period; and review of the 15-yearimplementation of the resolution on continued reform of the Party’s leadershipover the political system’s operations, issued at the 10th PartyCentral Committee’s fifth session.
Officials also looked into some otherimportant affairs and the personnel work.
Party General Secretary Nguyen PhuTrong chaired and delivered the opening and closing speeches of the session.
The Party Central Committee appealedthe entire Party, people, and army to enhance solidarity and unity to bringinto play the significant and important results obtained in the first ninemonths of 2022, exert efforts to surmount difficulties and challenges tosuccessfully fulfill the targets for 2022 and the following years; fruitfully carryout the resolutions and conclusions of the sixth session; and fulfill thesocio-economic development plan for 2023, thereby helping implement the resolutionof the 13th National Party Congress, the announcement noted./.
The 13th Party Central Committee discussed the project on continuing to accelerate national industrialization and modernization to 2030 with a vision to 2045 in the morning of October 6, the fourth working day of its 6th plenum.
An orientation scheme of the national master plan for the period of 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2050 was a focus of the sixth working day of the 13th Party Central Committee’s sixth plenum on October 8.
The sixth plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee wrapped up in Hanoi on October 9 after seven days of sitting, with all items on its agenda completed.
The 13th Party Central Committee concluded its sixth plenum on October 9 morning with the closing session chaired by Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.
Stronger efforts and determination are required to achieve and surpass the set targets, especially in the eradication of makeshift and dilapidated houses nationwide, the acceleration of public investment disbursement, and the implementation of nationally important transport projects, PM Pham Minh Chinh noted.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
