Over 108,500 Vietnamese work overseas in 11 months
A total of 108,530 Vietnamese people went abroad to work in the past 11 months of this year, exceeding the target set for the period by 8.5 percent, according to the Vietnam Labour Export Association.

The figure, however, was down by 0.66 percent from the same period in 2015.
In November, 10,120 workers were contracted to work overseas, up 2.88 percentfrom the same period last year.
The northeast Asian nations and territoriesremained among the biggest employers of Vietnamese workers.
More workers were sent to China’s Taiwan, Japan,Algeria and Arab Saudi than 2015.

Vietnamese remittances from overseas to HCM City, one of the country's leading destinations for remittances, hit 3.7 billion USD by the end of October, a year-on-year increase of 13 percent.
The Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long has planned to send 3,000 guest workers to foreign markets in 2016-2020, according to the provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.
A total of 65,776 Vietnamese people, including 23,946 women, went abroad to work in the first seven months of this year, according to statistics from labour export companies.
Total tourism revenue is projected to reach 280 trillion VND (10.7 billion USD), with hotel occupancy rates averaging 68% and the sector’s contribution to the city’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) estimated at 7–7.5%.

The late leader understood the press's role not only as a means to reflect the country’s realities but also as a powerful tool to strengthen national unity and inspire the resistance wars and national construction process.
