Washington D.C. (VNA) – As of 11:00pm on October 2 (local time), there was no information about Vietnamesecasualties in the shootings in Las Vegas city, Nevada State, which occurred oneday earlier killing at least 59 people and injuring 527 others, according tothe Embassy of Vietnam in the US.
Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Pham Quang Vinhhas directed the constant update on the gunfire and close contact with the LasVegas Department of Police and Department of Foreign Office to follow thesituation of the Vietnamese community in the city.
He noted that Las Vegas authorities pledge toquickly provide information for the Vietnamese Embassy through a hotline ifthey discover any Vietnamese casualties, be they Vietnamese tourists orexpatriates.
