Currently, around 15,000 new cases of COVID-19 a day are being reported in most localities across the country. The health ministry forecasts that in the time to come, more cases will be reported as the need for travel during the Tet holiday and the 2022 spring festival season is posing a potential danger of infection in the community, including from Omicron and other variants. That is why the ministry has sent a document to the People’s Committees of the provinces and cities on strengthening the pandemic fight in the coming time. According to Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son, localities should strictly implement Circular 357 of the health ministry, facilitating the return of people to their home towns across the country without any restrictions, and encouraging them to return to work right after the end of their holiday. The Ministry of Health has also asked the People’s Committees to guide people to strictly implement the 5K message and watch their own health.
