Hanoi (VNA) – The Netherlands attaches importance to further developingrelations with Vietnam, senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs toldVietnam’s newly-appointed ambassador to the country Ngo Thi Hoa.
During the diplomat’s recent courtesy visits, Dutch officials affirmed that theministry will continue supporting the Royal Family, Government, ministries andsectors and enterprises of the Netherlands to enhance cooperation with Vietnam.
Vietnam and the Netherlands have always supported each other in internationaland regional issues of common concern, they stressed.
Whileexpressing her joy at the fruitful development of the bilateral ties acrossfields, the Vietnamese diplomat pledged to make all-out efforts to promote the relationship.
Afterpresenting her credentials to the Dutch King on January 25, Ambassador Hoa met withthe General Director of the Organisationfor the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Ahmet Uzumcu, and the GeneralSecretary of the Permanent Court of Arbitration(PCA) in The Hague, Hugo Hans Siblesz.
Hosts briefed guest on the operation of the OPCW and the PCA.
They appreciated Vietnam’s effective cooperation with the agencies, hoping thatthe links between Vietnam with the OPCW and the PCA will be further fostered inthe coming time.
Ambassador Hoa took the occasion to thank Ahmet Uzumcu and Hugo Hans Siblesz fortheir contributions to strengthening the ties between Vietnam and theirorganizations.-VNA
Vietnam and the Netherlands agreed to cooperate more closely on climate change, water management, agriculture, energy, and marine-based economic activities, including logistics and shipbuilding.

Describing the exhibition as a large-scaled, content-rich, and unprecedented event with high requirements and limited preparation time, PM Pham Minh Chinh urged all ministries, sectors, and localities to participate with the highest sense of responsibility, ensuring the exhibition is inclusive, objective, truthful, feasible, and impactful.

PM Pham Minh Chinh instructed chairpersons of the People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to strictly follow the Ministry of Finance's guidelines on handling public finances and budgets, with a focus on preventing wastefulness, misconduct, or corruption.
Knapper reaffirmed the US's commitment to supporting a strong, independent, prosperous and resilient Vietnam, while respecting each other’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, independence and political systems.
