Hanoi (VNA) – The National Assembly (NA)’s Law Committee convened its 13th plenary session on March 30, reviewing the adjustments of the Law andOrdinance Building Programme in 2023 and a draft programme for next year.
According to a report delivered at the session, theGovernment proposed adding the Law amending and supplementing a number ofarticles of the Law on People's Public Security to the fifth NA session’sworking agenda for the legislature’s consideration and approval.
Five draft laws, namely the draft Law on Citizen Identification(amended), the draft Law on Credit Institutions (amended), the draft Law onRoads, the draft Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, and the draft Lawon forces participating in security and border protection at the grassrootslevel, will be put on the table during this session, scheduled to take place in May.
These draft laws will be submitted to the National Assemblyfor approval in the sixth plenary session, which will be held later this year.
During this session, the legislature will also give commentson the draft Law on defence industry, security and industrial mobilisation; thedraft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law onProperty Auction; and the draft Law on Capital City.
For the 2024 Programme, the Government, the Supreme People's Court, the VietnamGeneral Confederation of Labour and National Assembly deputies have proposed toinclude 18 draft laws into this programme.
Specifically, six draft laws, which will be discussed in thesixth session, will be adopted in the seventh session, while 10 draft laws willbe considered in the seventh session and approved in the following one. Andtwo draft laws will be put on the table at the eighth session./.
