Hanoi (VNA) – Close to 360 Vietnamese citizens were brought homefrom Singapore on two flights of Pacific Airlines on October 12.
The flights were arranged by Vietnamese authorities, the Embassy of Vietnam inSingapore and the carrier, together with competent agencies of Singapore.
The passengers included children under 18, the elderly, those with underlyinghealth conditions and others in difficult circumstances.
The Vietnamese Embassy sent its staff to the airport to assist them incompleting procedures before boarding.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, disease prevention measures were carried outduring the flights. Upon landing at Can Tho International Airport in the MekongDelta city of the same name, crewmembers and all passengers on the two flights weregiven heath check-ups and quarantined in line with regulations.
In the future, more flights are set to be conducted to bring Vietnamesecitizens with disadvantaged circumstances, depending on their need andquarantine capacity at home./.
