Jakarta (VNA) - An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter Scale joltedEast Luwu district in Indonesia’s South Sulawesi province on early dawn ofMarch 5, but it did not have potential to trigger a tsunami.
The quake’s epicentre was located at 2.5 degree southern latitude, and 121.43degree eastern longitude, 30 km northeast of North Luwu, and at a depth of 10km, according to the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency.
Earlier, a tremor of 4.0 magnitude hit South Manokwari, West Papua province, onMarch 4.
