HCM University of Technology meets ASEAN standards

HCM City (VNA) – The HoChi Minh University of Technology under the Vietnam National University, Ho ChiMinh City (VNUHCM) was presented with an institutional ASEAN UniversityNetwork-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) quality certificate on January 22.
It became the second Vietnamese university to receive this certificate, afterthe University of Science of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The certificationterm is from October 2017 to October 2022.
The Ho Chi Minh University of Technology is the only school in Vietnam tosimultaneously meet the standards of the AUN and France’s High Council forEvaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES).
On this occasion, the AUN also presented the programme level AUN-QA qualitycertificates to nine training programmes of member colleges of the VNUHCM.
The AUN-QA assessment at institutional level comprises 25 criteria and 111sub-criteria categorised into groups of strategic quality assurance, systematicquality assurance, functional quality assurance and results.
In 2017, the Ho Chi Minh University of Technology and the University of Scienceof the Vietnam National University, Hanoi was granted with institutional AUN-QAquality certificates.
Meanwhile, four universities of Vietnam have met HCERES standards. They werethe Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the University of Science andTechnology under the University of Da Nang, the Ho Chi Minh University ofTechnology under the VNUHCM and the National University of CivilEngineering.-VNA
Four first universities of Vietnam have been recognised by France’s High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES) for meeting international standards.

At a review conference held on June 21, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh praised the province’s scientific, coordinated, and flexible approach. He noted that the early completion reflects the strong commitment of local authorities, the business community, philanthropists, and residents in improving housing conditions for disadvantaged groups.
The VNA delegation, led by General Director Vu Viet Trang, actively participated in the event, engaging in both professional and diplomatic activities.
In the context where AI dominates and produces vast volumes of content, the only sustainable path forward for journalism is to focus on high-quality content and core values. Journalism must redefine its mission - not to report the fastest, but to provide the most profound and trustworthy value.
