Hanoi’s first paediatric hospital become operational

Hanoi (VNA) – The Hanoi Children’s Hospital, the first of its kind in the capital city, was inaugurated on October 9 on the occ🍌asion of the city’s 70th anniversary of Liberation Day (October 10, 1954-20🔯24).
Located in Yen Nghia ward of Ha Dong district, tt covers more than 19,000 sq.m and has a total investment of 654 billion VND (26.35 million USD) from the State budget. The fully-equipped hospital has 200 beds.
Vice Director of the Project Management Board of Hanoi Civil Works Nguyen Ngoc Tuong said that the project was approved in 2021 and started in April 2022. To date, all items of the projects have been completed, ensuring progress and quality.
Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Vu Thu Ha underlined that this is the city’s first specialised pediatric hospital with 24 departments. Its commissioning shows the city’s efforts in completing targets set by the municipal 17th Party Congress.
Ha asked the Hanoi Department of Health and relevant agencies to promptly perfect the organisation, human resources, and equipment for the hospital, ensuring its smooth operation in treatment as well as scientific research and training activities.
At the same time, the department should continue reviewing people’s health service demands, thus proposing the investment of the second phase of the project with an aim to increase the number of beds to 500, the official asked.
At the ceremony, delegates presented gifts to children with disadvantaged backgrounds that are receiving treatment at the hospital./.
