London (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassies in the UK andFrance held respect-paying services for Vietnam’s former President Le Duc Anhon May 3.
Attending the ceremony in London, on behalf of the UKGovernment and people, Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific Mark Fieldextended his deepest condolences toward the passing of the former President.
The ceremony, to last until late May 4, has so far gatheredthe attendance of representatives from foreign embassies in UK, including thoseof Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, China, Indonesia, and the Republic ofKorea, among others.
Meanwhile, at the ceremony in Paris, Corine Crespel, arepresentative from the French Foreign Ministry’s Asia-Pacific Department, paidrespect to the deceased. In the condolences book, she wrote about thesignificant role the former President once played in consolidating Vietnam –France relations.
The same day, many members of foreign diplomatic corps cameto pay their homage.
General Le Duc Anh, who served as President of Vietnam fromSeptember 1992 to December 1997, passed away on April 22 at the age of 99.

The Funeral Board and the family of former President General Le Duc Anh expressed thanks following the burial service for him in Ho Chi Minh City on May 3.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
The ministry has instructed Vietnamese representative agencies in Israel, Iran, as well as those in neighbouring countries, to closely monitor the situation and request local authorities to ensure absolute safety for Vietnamese citizens living, studying, and working in high-risk areas.
