Five more COVID-19 patients given all-clear across Vietnam
Five more COVID-19 patients were given the all-clear in three treatment facilities across Vietnam on April 20, lifting the total recoveries to 207, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Hanoi (VNA) – Five more COVID-19 patients weregiven the all-clear in three treatment facilities across Vietnam on April 20,lifting the total recoveries to 207, according to the National SteeringCommittee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
The discharged patients included two foreigners and threeVietnamese.
Patient 228 was released from the General Hospital of NhoQuan district, the northern province of Ninh Binh after being hospitalised fortwo weeks. The 29-year-old man have tested negative with the novel coronavirus(SARS-CoV-2) causing COVID-19 for three times, on April 12, 14 and 19.
Two other patients – both Vietnamese returnees from Bangkok,Thailand – have recovered at the Cau Treo International Border Gate RegionalHospital in the central province of Ha Tinh.
Patient 210, a 26-year-old woman, was admitted to thehospital on March 30. During treatment, the patient had two tests and both came back negative for the virus on April 15 and 19.
Patient 238 is a 17-year-old girl, hospitalised on April 4.Her two latest tests were negative for SARS-CoV-2 on April 15 and 19. She isnow in stable condition with no fever, no cough and no shortness of breath.
The remaining two are foreigners who are both linked to the city’slargest COVID-19 cluster Buddha Bar in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. They have receivedtreatment and recovered in the city’s Cu Chi field hospital.
Patient 224 is 39-year-old Brazilian man, admitted to the hospitalon April 1 while patient 236, a 26-year-old British woman, was hospitalised threedays later. Both had tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 three times on April 13, 15and 17.
After being discharged, the five patients will continue tobe quarantined and monitored for the next 14 days.
As of April 20 morning, the Ministry of Health reported nonew COVID-19 cases over the last four consecutive days. The country’s total confirmedcases still stands at 268 with zero death./.
The Health Ministry said on April 20 morning that no new case of COVID-19 was detected overnight, marking the fourth consecutive day Vietnam has had no new infection of the coronavirus.
After more than three weeks of intensive treatment, the patient's pneumonia improved, breathing stabilised, sedation was reduced, and the breathing tube was removed. He is now conscious, able to eat orally, and in recovery.
