Hanoi (VNA) – Five COVID-19 patients have been under special q🐼uarantine for 🥃nearly half a month. They interact only with doctors and use their phones to keep contact with their families.
As from February 7, the Quang Ha general clinic in the northern province of Vinh Phuc’s Binh Xuyen district has become a quarantine centre for COVID-19 patients and people with high risk of contracting the disease. In recent 15 days, T., 49, from Binh Xuyen’s Son Loi commune, and four other patients have stayed in the clinic. Other members in T.’s family have been hospitalized here person by person. T. is the mother of N. T. D., 24, who was among the eight people sent by the Japanese-funded Nihon Plast limited company to Wuhan (China) for training in two months and a half. The group later became the source of coronavirus transmission in Vinh Phuc. T. said she was proud when her daughter was selected for the course, adding that she prepared for D.’s first trip overseas on November 1 last year. According to her, on January 17, her daughter called to inform her arrival at home. Her group returned with no one being sick both during the training and upon their arrival in Vietnam.All family members get infected
On February 4, the three remaining members of T.’s family were tested positive for the novel coronavirus. On February 6, when her husband and second daughter were transferred to the Quang Ha general clinic for treatment, T. found herself collapse.A heartfelt thank-you letter sent to Vietnamese doctors
Vietnamese doctors have saved not only Vietnamese citizens but also foreigners from the disease. The foreign patients included two Chinese nationals – Li Ding and his son Li Zichao. The pair was successfully treated at the Cho Ray Hospital and Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City. After safely arriving home, they sent a letter to the Vietnamese doctors.
