The Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam has decided to allow Politburo member Dinh The Huynh to leave the posts of standing member of the CPV Central Committee’s Secretariat and President of the Central Theoretical Council.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)has decided to allow Politburo member Dinh The Huynh to leave the posts ofstanding member of the CPV Central Committee’s Secretariat and President of theCentral Theoretical Council in the 2016-2021 tenure for long-term illnesstreatment.
The decision was made at a meeting on personnel work onMarch 2 of the Politburo under the chair of General Secretary of the CPVCentral Committee (CPV CC) Nguyen Phu Trong.
Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member and head of the CPV CC’s InspectionCommission, will replace Huynh as standing member of the CPV CC’s Secretariat.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Xuan Thang, Secretary of the CPV CC, Directorof the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Vice President of the CPVCentral Committee’s Theoretical Council will assume the position as Presidentof the council for 2016-2021.-VNA
Politburo member Tran Quoc Vuong has been assigned to embrace a mission as the permanent member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) from August 1.
At the working session, General Secretary Lam presented the Party Committee of the VFF and central mass organisations with the Politburo’s Decision No. 304-QD/TW, which outlines the new structure, functions and tasks of the VFF Central Committee, marking a significant step in improving its organisational effectiveness.
