Hosting the banquet, Vice Chief of the General Staff of Vietnam People’s ArmyPham Ngoc Minh reviewed achievements made by the Vietnamese army over the past74 years, saying that the Vietnam People’s Army did and will actively andproactively expand ties with countries and international organisations on thebasis of respect for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity ofeach other, strive to deepen cooperative ties to bring about practical results.
He thanked international friends, especially defence andmilitary attaché, diplomats for fostering friendship between Vietnam and countriesin diverse areas, including in national defence.
Minh wished to step up friendship and cooperation betweenarmies of Vietnam and countries for the sake of peace, stability, cooperationand development in the region and the world.
Ambassador Ton That Tuan, defence attaché to the US and headof the foreign military attaché delegation to Vietnam, expressed his beliefthat armies of Vietnam and countries will hold more exchanges to developsustainable and effective ties.-VNA
