Buenos Aires (VNA) - During its 94 years,the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) has demonstrated its bravery and capacityto flexibly weather all challenges of the times, according to Gastón Fiorda,an expert on Southeast Asian affairs at the National Radio of Argentina (RNA).

In an interview granted to the Vietnam NewsAgency on the occasion of the 94th founding anniversary of the CPV (February 3), journalist Fiorda, who has spentmany years researching President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese history, saidthat in a continuously changing and challenging world, the Vietnamese people,under the leadership of the Party, has always shown the capacity to rise from all circumstances to develop, even when the whole world fell into tragiccircumstances such as the recent COVID-19 pandemic, or the expansion ofcapitalism.

They have also gained extremely greatachievements in the nation building and safeguarding cause, especiallyadmirable results in the renewal process, he stated.

He said when returning to work in Vietnamrecently, he was extremely impressed by the country's development achievements,particularly public transport infrastructure as well as modern urban areas.

All of these achievements are a result of thesound direction of the CPV, creating a stable societyboth politically and legally, with long-term development policies and programmes,added the journalist.

According to Fiorda, Vietnam alwayspromotes economic development, diversifies and expands cooperative relationswith all countries, and, at the same time, preserves cultural identity. With apopulation of 100 million, cultural values such as respect for teachers and theelderly, and freedom to belief and religion are clearly seen in daily life.This shows the sound leadership of the CPV in leading the people not only inpolitical and economic aspects but also in cultural and social life.

Referring to the country's foreign policy,the expert highlighted the unique value of the "bamboo diplomacy" that has brought Vietnam a greater role in the international arena.

He affirmed that the CPV has been flexiblein and made the most of its relationships with major countries and the world tocreate a strategic balance in those relationships, on a basis of respectingnational independence and self-determination./.
