DaNang (VNA) – The APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) agreed onrecommendations to be submitted to APEC leaders at its meeting in the centralcity of Da Nang on November 5.
Thefourth ABAC meeting reviewed recommendations that the council will submit toAPEC leaders in their meeting on November 10, and built an action plan for 2018in Papua New Guinea, ABAC 2017 Chair Hoang Van Dung said told reporters after themeeting.
Therecommendations focus on promoting regional integration and removing protectionismbarriers to facilitate business development and investment; support for small-and medium-sized enterprises in terms of finance and technologies; vision until2020 and afterwards, Dung said.
The ABACwas set up by APEC leaders at the third APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Japanin 1995 with the aim of promoting the role of the private economic sector inAPEC cooperation.
The ABACnow comprises 63 members representing leading businesses in the region.-VNA
