Receiving Ambassador Mai Phan Dung, head of thePermanent Delegation of Vietnam to the United Nations, the WTO and otherinternational organisations in Geneva, who came to submit the Vietnamese StatePresident’s credentials, she suggested Vietnam continue to contribute tounfinished contents, including trying to bring Package 1 of the WTO Agreementon Fisheries Subsidies into effect before June and participating in promotingnegotiations on Package 2, thus contributing to the UN Millennium Goals onsustainable development. - Canada is committed to supporting and promoting sustainabledevelopment and resilience in the region and Vietnam, said its Climate ChangeAmbassador Catherine Stewart.
Talking to Vietnam News Agency during her recentvisit to the Southeast Asian nation, Stewart said the two countries have over50 years of diplomatic relations. Over the more than 30 years of itsdevelopment assistance, Canada has provided over 1.8 billion USD in developmentassistance for Vietnam to help ease poverty and inequality, empower women andgirls, and address climate change. - The Petrovietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC), asubsidiary company of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), is deeplyengaging in domestic and international offshore wind power projects thanks toits rich experience, strong resources and highly qualified personnel.
