- The amended Land Law which waspassed at the 15th National Assembly’s fifth extraordinary session inmid-January is expected to provide a firm legal framework to enhance landmanagement efficiency and create new momentum for Vietnam to become ahigh-income country by 2045.
Comprising 16 chapters and 260 articles, the lawwould solve existing problems in land management and contribute to promotinggrowth with innovations and breakthroughs in thinking, Deputy Prime MinisterTran Hong Ha said, emphasising that improving the legal framework for land hasbeen a focus of the Party and the Government. - Vietnam had shipped 15.08 billionUSD worth of products overseas as of January 15, a year-on-year increase of4.1%, the General Statistics Office announced on January 29.
Foreign firms occupied 11.06 billion USD, up 1.9%against the same time last year, while the domestic sector made up 4.02 billionUSD of the total, a year-on-year rise of 10.4%. Read full story
- Vietnam saw a year-on-year rise of3.37% in January’s consumer price index (CPI), according to the GeneralStatistics Office (GSO).

- In order to achieve the targetof 6% rise in exports this year, exporters are advised to maintain majormarkets such as the US, the EU, Japan, the Republic of Korea and China.

- The number of new enterprises andthose resuming their operation this month reached 27,335, up 5.5% year-on-year,and more than 1.3 times higher than the average figure in the 2018-2023 period,statistics show.
According to the Business Registration ManagementAgency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, 13,536 firms wereestablished in January, a rise of 24.8% from the same period last year, thehighest ever recorded for the first month of each year. They added 151.45trillion VND (6.16 billion USD) to the national economy, a year-on-yearincrease of 52.8%./. Read full story
