The tax sector’s total state budget revenue in the first quarter of 2024 was estimated at 490.2 trillion VND (19.64 billion USD), equal to 33% of the estimate for the year, and 10.9% higher than the figure of the same period last year, the General Department of Taxation announced on April 9.
E-commerce platforms must be electronically connected with tax management agencies from the beginning of next year, not from next month, as the tax watchdog aims to better collect taxes from sellers operating on the platforms.
State budget collections managed by tax agencies were estimated at 347.34 trillion VND (15.02 billion USD) in the first quarter of this year, equal to 31.1 percent of the estimate and down 1.2 percent year-on-year, according to the General Department of Taxation.
The General Department of Taxation (GDT) reported on August 18 that it has completed the integration of additional 27 administrative procedures into the national public service portal, lifting the total number of online public services provided through the portal to 120.
The total State budget collection hit upwards 623.2 trillion VND (27 billion USD) in the first eight months this year, meeting 64.4 percent of the yearly estimate and rising by 10.8 percent annually.
