The northern province of Bac Giang is set to develop more large-timber forest with a view to helping improve the local forestry sector’s production value, said Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le O Pich.
The central province of Thua Thien-Hue plans to grow 13,000 hectares of large-timber forest by 2020, with 40 percent of which received Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)’s certificate, ensuring that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.
