Vietnam’s active engagement in the UN’s peacekeeping missions since 2014 has been an important policy of the Party and State during the nation’s international integration while reflecting its stature in the international community.

The Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations under the Ministry of National Defence laid a wreath and offered incense in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on May 22 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the department's traditional day (May 27).
