The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) need to work together to shape a new-generation model of inter-regional cooperation, based on sincerity, substance, comprehensiveness, cohesion, and greater effectiveness, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said at the second ASEAN-GCC Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on May 27.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s recent trip to Saudi Arabia to attend the ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council (ASEAN-GCC) Summit and visit the country have created a significant breakthrough in searching for new cooperation opportunities and expanding the market for Vietnamese goods and services in Saudi Arabia and the GCC, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Hung Viet.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the high-level Vietnamese delegation arrived in Hanoi on October 21 morning, concluding their trip to Saudi Arabia for the ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council (ASEAN-GCC) Summit and a visit to the country at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
